Work description
Norfolk County Council have awarded a contract to a provider for the provision of a Shared Lives Service for Adults in Norfolk from the following groups: o Children with Disability 16+ o Learning Disability o Physical Disability o Older People o Dementia o Mental Health. Shared Lives is a type of care for people with social care needs who are unable to live independently or may not wish to live alone, and is an alternative to supported living, home care or residential care. Shared Lives Carers offer care and support in their own home. Shared Lives services have the potential to help Norfolk County Council meet requirements placed on local authorities under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012. Shared Lives offers a proven and cost effective way of augmenting the recruitment and retention of care staff elsewhere in the social care system
