Work description
The contract was a direct award using the framework: Consult 18: Multidisciplinary Consultancy Services - Contracts Finder for the following services:
• Definition of the workforce required to meet the demand for step down intermediate care, within depth focus on rehabilitation and reablement, specifically focussing on o P1 and P2 demand as a minimum. o Capabilities to meet the needs of people discharged from hospital. o Sub-cohorting people into groups to define the workforce requirement per group and support a caseload model for capacity and demand planning. o Defining the capabilities required in the workforce to meet the needs of those requiring the service, i.e., registered therapists, unregistered therapy workforce and wider workforce skill mix -which may inform any national metric. o Model volumes required per skill/capability to meet current demand and for increase in demand. o An Intermediate Care Strategic Workforce Plan and Model, including baseline of the current Intermediate Care Workforce (where this is known / data is available); and supporting the development of action plans to close the gap, including identifying any early "quick wins" or re-calibration that can help decompress UEC settings and promote inpatient flow in acute settings.
