## Description

The provision of insourced MRI scanning service for 8 days per month undertaken at Bassetlaw District General Hospital, situated within the Medical Imaging department, in accordance with the service specification\. Additional information: We direct awarded to Managed Healthcare Services via the Staff Alliance framework for insourcing services last year for 6 months with the option to extend\. However the contract expired at the March 2024 so extension is no longer possible\. The trust requires this direct award as soon as possible as the MRI score are becoming impacted\. MHS are able to use the Trust fixed asset \(at BDGH\) whereas Medneo \(the previous incumbents\) are only able to provide a mobile staffed unit\. Locums are more expensive and unreliable than AQP The Trust had a previous contract with MHS to aid the 2022-23 Radiology recovery plan, which worked very well\.
