## Description

Contract extension option to 31 July 2024 is being utilised\. BTP requires a single supplier to provide a tailored, end to end solution for all language service requirements 24 hours a day, 365 days a year: • Face to Face Interpretation Services \(F2F\) • Translation/Transcription Services \(TMS\) • Telephone Interpretation Services \(TI\) • British Sign Language \(BSL\) • Video Remote Interpreting \(VRI\) Provision of interpreters is governed by the Police and Criminal Evidence \(PACE\) 1984\. If a suspect requires an interpreter for interview or the taking of a statement BTP must arrange for one to be present\. The requirement shall also be available to victims of crime and witnesses and during daily / operational contact with members of the public as well as meet BTP's Welsh language translation \(WLT\) obligations\. As the contract will serve various business areas, in preparation for tendering, a number of business users and stakeholders have been consulted across B Division, C Division, Crime, Fatality Investigations, Justice, Custody, BTPA and Corporate Communications\.
