Work description

This Framework Agreement (\"the Contract\") is for the implementation of a Framework Agreement for Durham County Council (\"The Authority\"). The works will involve the refurbishment of existing buildings and potentially the provision of new facilities where the roof covering will be specified as one of the following types of roofing:

• Lot 1 Slate and Tile Roofing systems • Lot 2 Metal Deck Roofing systems • Lot 3 Cold applied Liquid Roofing systemsThe main users of the Framework Agreement will be Direct Services as part of the Regeneration and Local Services Directorate.

This Framework will be available for use by Durham County Council, on its own behalf or on behalf of other authorities, where they have entered into a Service Level Agreement with Durham County Council such as: - Academy Schools in County Durham and Darlington, - Maintained Schools in County Durham and Darlington, - County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, - Durham Constabulary and the Office of the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner, - County Durham Housing Group - Parish Councils and Town Councils in County Durham. Durham County Council makes no guarantee that they will be awarded any call off and no guarantee is in respect of any volume of work under any such call off agreements, or in aggregate under the Framework Agreement. All Quantities are estimated and are for evaluation purposes only. This Invitation to Tender is issued under an open process with no prior shortlisting. Following this tender exercise a maximum number of one bidder, who achieves the highest weighted tender score will be awarded the Framework.

A rebate retrospective of 1% will be collected and will be based on all business transacted under this Framework.

It is to be noted that Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) DO NOT apply in relation to this procurement exercise

The expected start date for the proposed contract is 4th October 2017. The expected end date for the proposed contract is 3rd October 2019. The Framework Agreement duration is 2 years with an option to extend up to a further 2 x 12 months. The duration of the contract is therefore up to 4 years
