Description

The existing equipment is approximately 40 years old and is life expired and therefore requires replacement. The University has already purchased the new panels and a 11kV/400V transformer that will be free issued to the successful contractor for installation. The existing LV panels may have asbestos containing material within them. The contractor should be aware that it will be their responsibility to dispose of the existing LV panel board safely and to provide the appropriate documents to confirm this. The contractor is to provide a provisional sum for: 1) Testing to identify the presence of asbestos 2) Disposal of all asbestos identified within the panel and the transformer.
