Critical Appraisal of Health Research in the News (Behind the Headlines)

Description

NHS Digital required critical appraisal of the research that underpins healthcare news stories. These stories will be selected by NHS Digital in collaboration with the supplier. Analysis of the research by clinicians and/or scientists is required to produce an article based on impartial, evidence-based appraisal and questions posed by NHS Digital. The supplier will work collaboratively with NHS Digital content staff who will edit the analysis and re-present it to the supplier to be validated as clinically and scientifically accurate, fair and balanced. NHS Digital will then publish the content. The contract length is 1 year with the option to extend for a further 1 year period.
