Provision of Laundry Services extension of Contract for a further period of 12 months

Description

The contract maintains a quality and compliant service to ensure clean, fresh, suitable laundry to sites. The current contract expired on 31st July 2020. The market testing in early 2020 also confirmed a limited amount of suppliers in the market. As a result of the COVID 19 crisis there was a need for stability and responsiveness in this particular service. A decision was made for the incumbent supplier to continue managing the laundry service for one additional year. This action is permitted under the Procurement Policy Note (PPN 01/20). It is intended that during this extension period the work will be tendered.
