Work description
Work Package 1: Metal Bioaccumulation Study 1) Undertake preliminary study to determine levels of metal bioaccumulation in the intertidal zone as soon as possible (May 2016). This survey is expected to incorporate sampling of bio-indicator species and sediments from the intertidal zone in the vicinity of the mine water discharge and at a control location. 2) Undertake a repeat survey in November or December 2016 to assess any changes in metal bioaccumulation within the selected bio-indicator species 3) Preparation of technical reports 4) Project Management
Work Package 2: Intertidal Ecology Study
An ecological survey is required in November or December 2016 to gather data on the biotopes present within the intertidal survey area. The results are to be compared with the baseline ecological survey conducted in December 2013. The scope is outlined as follows:
1) Undertake Intertidal Ecology Study to include: 2) Preparation of technical reports: 3) Project Management
