Brief Description of Requirement

The Government's 2021 Innovation Strategy named "Advanced Materials and Manufacturing" as one of the seven technology families of UK strength and opportunity. Materials innovation underpins strategic advantage of the five critical technologies set out in the 2023 Science and Technology Framework and is foundational for achieving many of Government's key priorities. Government is committed to growing this high potential market and accelerating the commercialisation process to enable delivery of our net zero ambitions and to support DSIT's ambition of making the UK a science and technology superpower.
