## Description

Newcastle University requires a system to support administrators and academics to manage research activity, throughout the project lifecycle\. The University has currently 2 bespoke systems which will be replaced: • The Project Administration and Management System \(MyProjects\) is used to manage all externally funded and strategic projects including research proposals and contracts and enterprise and business development related activities\. This system manages around £100,000,000 of external funding per annum and has approximately 2,000 users\. • The Costing and Pricing System \(MyProjects Proposals\) manages in excess of 3,000 proposals per annum with a total value in excess of £600 000 000\. The key objective of this project is to implement an integrated and fully customised off the shelf system for research costing and project administration &amp; management, to support administrators and academics to manage research activity, throughout the projects lifecycle\. The solution will be one that has a proven track record in conforming to conditions \(including statutory requirements\) governing UK Higher Education research costing and project management\. The system must provide a costing/pricing &amp; project administration and management solution and be required to integrate effectively with other established systems including MyImpact \(the University's bespoke CRIS system\) and SAP \(HR, Finance and Business Warehouse\)\.
