1-year statutory consultee review and wider opportunities scoping

ATE has been a statutory consultee within the consenting regime since 01 June 2023. Representation has been made by both local authorities and developers that the current development management focused offer, while the most appropriate as ATE integrates itself into the sector and establishes itself as a credible planning stakeholder (in line with its statutory responsibilities), would need to diversify in future years to truly maximise opportunities.This review will bring together several existing workstreams being overseen by the ATE Planning and Development Team, including a Local Plans Discovery Project, and development of potential pre-application offer, and is an opportunity to scope out the benefits of other regimes and areas of planning that ATE could influence.
