Work description
Natural England is developing the idea of Green Community Hubs to help make more and better nature a part of people's everyday lives. It is an integrated approach with hubs offering a place where our health, nature connection, inclusion, children and nature and urban greening work come together, supporting the Environmental Improvement Plan commitment ...that everyone should live within 15 minutes' walk of a green or blue space... and ...work to reduce other barriers which prevent people from accessing green and blue spaces, such as physical challenges, lack of confidence and lack of information. Green Community Hubs are places where community spaces, services and activities can be co-located, making life easier and greener for people living in urban areas that could benefit the most from a hub. They are close to home, close to nature and all are welcome.
