Description
The key purpose of this service is to "support National Highways in developing an active travel investment plan to ensure delivery of its priorities set out in the active travel approach document, ensuring maximum value for money from our investment and being able to demonstrate likely impact from the investment." The key objectives include the following: 1. Scope an approach for assessing and prioritising cross-organisational applications to the active travel Designated Funds funding stream, in line with active travel approach document priorities and use of other relevant existing data sources (i.e. Route Strategies, iRAP, map of Local Cycling Walking Infrastructure Plans, SusTrans Network Development Map). 2. Develop an investment pipeline of priority SRN locations for active travel investment, against priority investment themes with clear quantified justification for prioritisation using open access and readily available evidence. 3. Develop quantifiable success criteria including targets, to forecast and measure the impact of delivering investment at priority identified locations.
