ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANLINESS MONITORING SYSTEMS AND SERVICES

Effective cleaning of environmental surfaces forms a vital part of a good infection prevention programme and national cleaning guidelines and standards are provided in the 2007 Guidance issued by the UK National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA). The NPSA framework of cleanliness standards is integral and fully implemented within the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust by local facilities teams with the input of the Infection Prevention and Control Service.

In order to support the visual monitoring of cleanliness standards, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a robust scientific environmental cleanliness monitoring system, using hand-held devices over a three year period.
