Work description

Tamworth Council is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced builder with proven experience of working on Scheduled Monuments or Listed Buildings to undertake roofing repair works to Holloway Lodge and a tree stump removal near a Grade II listed building and wall. Holloway Lodge is a Grade II listed lodge dating from 1810 and serves as the gatehouse for the south western entrance to Tamworth Castle grounds (Staffordshire B79 7NB). It is located within the context of Tamworth Castle which is a Grade I listed building. The castle and grounds are also a Registered Scheduled Monument. As such alterations to the fabric are subject to listed building consent and works within the boundary of the Schedule Monument are also subject to Scheduled Monument Consent.
