SCC Home Improvement Agency (HIA)

The service supports statutory requirements of the Care Act and Children's Act, particularly in relation to the prevention agenda. It aligns with the Better Care Fund (BCF) outcomes, such as enabling people to stay well, stay safe, and remain independent at home for longer. Additionally, it supports the BCF goal of providing people with the right care, in the right place, at the right time. The Care Act requires local authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in their homes.
