Work description
The objective of this work is to: •Create a London good food management hub for the hospitality and food service sector that will be a pilot to cascade across the UK and share learning's with the EU. •Cascade change and support delivery of the FoodSave legacy, Courtauld Commitment 2025 and TRiFOCAL in London. •Complement TRiFOCAL consumer communications activity which will be combining messages on food waste prevention, recycling of food waste and Healthy and Sustainable eating (HSE) in London. This will involve the consumer campaign Love Food Hate Waste (a UK-wide campaign), and recycling messages through the consumer campaign Recycle for London (a regionalised campaign based on the national Recycle Now campaign).. •Reduce the amount of food being thrown away from the HaFS sector in London, increase food waste recycling rates as well as build in elements of HSE through messaging and encouraging areas such as portion options, utilising proven research and materials.
The deliverables of this tender will be used not only by the hospitality sector but also by the retail and manufacturing sector.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
