Work description
NHS South Warwickshire CCG is running an Any Qualified Provider (AQP) Process for the following services:
- Lot 1 - Adult Hearing Service for Age Related Hearing Loss - Lot 2 - Community Micro-suction services
Lot 1, for Adult Hearing Services for Age Related Hearing Loss is a re-opening of the existing Adult Hearing Loss Service AQP. Providers who have previously applied, and been successful for, this service need not apply. The CCG is re-opening the existing AQP in order to secure additional capacity across the market. The service is aimed at adults aged 55 and over experiencing difficulties with their hearing and communication where a GP considers they may benefit from hearing assessment and care. It provides a comprehensive service user-centred direct access hearing service.
Lot 2, for Community Micro-suction services is a new requirement which is closely related to the Adult Hearing Service requirement. The intention of the Commissioner is, therefore, to procure both requirements making use of a single procurement vehicle. The micro-suction service will provide community based wax removal services for patients who are aged 18 and above using micro-suction and any other suitable instruments under microscopic or magnified visualisation that would previously have required referral to secondary care but does not require specialist intervention.
