The English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College - Tender for Catering Services

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at The English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College.

The contract will run from 1.9.2016 for a period of 3 years, with the option to extend for a further 2 years.

The English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College is an expanding 11-18 mixed voluntary aided Catholic School which has an excellent reputation throughout the area. The school serves the entire Catholic community of Hartlepool and the catchment area encompasses the whole of Hartlepool LA. As a result the school has a genuinely comprehensive intake which is 1 of the great strengths of the school.

There are 1 505 pupils at the school and 200 staff. The school has a separate sixth form centre which houses a large common room with café/bistro area. The main school catering service is provided in the main school hall serviced by an adjoining kitchen and servery area.

The school wishes to tender its catering services to ensure that it continues to receive best value from the service and is also interested in capital investment, possibly in an additional service point, in order to improve speed of service.

It will be the Tenderer's responsibility to obtain any necessary documents in order to submit a response by the closing date and time.

The contracting authority reserves the right not to award any or part of the contract which is the subject of this OJEU notice and reserves the right to terminate the procurement process at any time.

The contracting authority will not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in tendering for this contract opportunity.

The contracting authority will consider variant bids, evaluating them (so far as the variant or the evaluation of the variant is in the opinion of the contracting authority practicable) on the same basis as a conforming bid, but shall not be obliged to accept any such bid in preference to a conforming bid even if the variant bid scores more highly. No variant will be considered unless the bidder simultaneously submits a conforming bid.
