Work description

Aldine House is a secure children's centre owned and operated by Sheffield City Council and is currently home to ten young people at any one time. The existing building contains a combination of bedroom, recreational, educational and staff facilities and provides two crucial services; safeguarding vulnerable children and public protection. The intention of this project is to enhance the buildings current facilities, enabling it to house 12 young people at any one time and improving recreational facilities through the addition of a secure external multi use games area (MUGA). To support the proposed increase in capacity additional teaching accommodation and ancillary support accommodation is also proposed to enable Aldine House to continue to provide outstanding educational facilities for the young people living there.
