Description
To ensure that potential Environment Bill species abundance and extinction risk focussed targets and the policies that help us meet them are adequate and provide value for money, it is essential that we have robust evidence to inform our approach. This project will explore and improve the evidence base around the benefits of policy interventions targeting the improvement of mean species abundance and avoiding species extinction in England through a primary valuation study. This will help ensure species related interventions are evidence based, in line with Green Book guidance. It will also help Defra to ensure species interventions are better considered in economic appraisals more broadly.
