## Description

The Early Years Foundation Stage \(EYFS\) safeguarding consultation1 which took place 22 April 2024 to 17 June 2024 highlighted that time, resource and cost pressures can lead to settings only being able to access poor-quality safeguarding training which insufficiently tests knowledge retention\. Many responses called for a free, high-quality safeguarding training offer provided by the Department\.
