## Description

DWP intend to move to a Software as a Service \(SaaS\) basis instead of the on premise licensing of previous years\. SaaS licensing costs more, but it brings benefits in terms of reduced maintenance effort \(which consumes engineers' time\) and savings in DWP's cloud hosting costs\. Moreover this will enable a strategic approach to code repository management across DWP, enabling a single source instead of the current multiplicity of instances\.
