## Description

This resource is essential to assist in the delivery of the Council's Safer Roads Fund project and securing an associated grant funding allocated by the Department for Transport for 2023/24\. The Highways Team has attempted to recruit engineers/senior engineers without success and is using the Consultancy framework with WSP to undertake some of the work, however WSP is unable to fulfill all resource requirements\. In the event of further inability to recruit and the need to extend this arrangement, it is anticipated that the a corporate contract with an existing supplier will be able to provide these services\. Additional information: This contract was awarded following a Direct Award compalred through the ESPO CONSULTANCY SERVICES Framework 664\_21 Lot 5 Highways, Traffic and Transport
