Description
Ofgem requires a supplier to conduct a study that could be used to inform the review and development of modelling of the impact of electric vehicles (EVs) and vehicleto-grid (V2G) technologies on the energy system, with a focus on the distribution networks. To date, most energy models make arguably modest assumptions on V2X (e.g modest take up; do not consider V2G/V2X; nor consider transport other than private cars), and also consider the impacts as represented by transport demand, rather than the functionality as batteries potentially able to respond fully to market signals.
