Operation Pendant Service for North East Essex CCG

North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group ('NEECCG') are committed to developing a diverse market that supports Adults to have timely and appropriate access to healthcare services and live as independently as possible.

Falls are amongst the highest callouts for ambulances in North East Essex. Often the Adult simply requires minimal assistance and no medical intervention or conveyance to hospital is required.

Operation Pendant ('The Service') is to provide an alternative referral route for the Ambulance Service to redirect 999 calls for non-injured fallers in the community, including part of a residential and nursing care home pilot. The Service will provide a pick-up service for Adults within the Colchester and Tendering geographical areas.
