The Supply of Fresh Meat and Poultry

As part of the Central Production Unit (CPU) at Darlington Memorial Hospital, CDD Services require a contractor to fulfil the needs and requirements for fresh meat to produce and contribute to the making of fresh meals across Trust sites. Meat and poultry are great sources of protein and also provide lots of other nutrients the body needs such as, iodine, iron, zinc, vitamins (especially vitamin B12) and essential fatty acids. Therefore, the aim of this procurement process was to enable Darlington Memorial Hospital to be provided with a high quality, consistent supply of fresh meat and poultry for its patients, staff, and visitors.
