DR4948 - Tower Hamlets Retail Marketing and Tendering Support Project (Lots 1-3)

Tower Hamlets Council (the Council) is seeking tenders for training and consultancy support in two specialistareas of work for the benefit of Tower Hamlets businesses. These two areas of work are: • support for increasing the marketing capacity of retail businesses; and • support for businesses in any sector to be able to supply goods and services through contracts which havebeen the subject of a procurement exercise. What activity in these two areas of work has in common is that success on the part of the businesses supportedwill increase turnover. This in turn will tend to improve business prospects and lead to beneficial effectsgenerally in the local economy. These two areas of work are however the subject of two separate initiatives run by Tower Hamlets Council:respectively the "Retail Marketing" Initiative and the "Supply Tower Hamlets" initiative. •Looking at support for retail marketing in isolation, there are two aspects to the support work required, as follows: •consultancy support for retail business marketing; and •provision of an online platform to support the marketing activities of retailers which receive consultancysupport. There are therefore three areas of work, each of which is the subject of a different lot, as follows:
