Work description

The University of Brighton owns a Tedom small-scale gas engine combined heat and power (CHP) unit intended to serve the Heating Plant Room, Brighton Sport & Health Complex, Falmer Campus, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 9PH. Specifically the CHP unit concerns a 1No. Tedom Cento T100 Natural Gas, Sound Enclosure. 50 Hz, (Manufactured in 2012).

There is an intention to install this CHP unit at the Falmer facility and operate it to produce low-cost electricity, free heat, and play a role in the sustainability agenda of the University.

The University is looking to assign an Energy Performance Contract to an Operator. This will specifically involve the Operator purchasing and operating the CHP unit for the sole purpose of selling the University heat and power throughout the system's 15-year operational life.
