The Standards and Testing Agency (STA) is responsible for developing National Curriculum tests on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE). The STA has a requirement for the continued provision and support of a computerised system (Item Bank Database) to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the test development process in support of the National Curriculum Assessments Programme
