TfGM Waste Services 2024

TfGM is looking to establish a new contract to provide waste management and collection services across the TfGM estate.

This will be a 3+1+1 year contract with the two additional extension periods being optional.

This service shall include the management of general mixed waste, dry mixed recyclables, food waste, cardboard, paper, plastic, and hazardous and offensive materials such as dog waste collections AND the requirement of periodic support for up to 50 x 240litre wheeled bins to be loaned to TfGM sites for tidy up days (usually paper, cardboard etc) and collected in a 3- or 4-day rotation (plus any additional needs on request).

The aims and objectives of the waste service provision are to enable provision of a sanitary, tidy environment consistent with TfGM function, to enable all users of the buildings to do so safely and hygienically. The service provider will determine the appropriate frequencies for waste collection services to suit the needs of the core services and conduct collections of all areas in such a way as to maintain a waste free (as far as practicable) and safe environment for all users, allowing the Site and TfGM the efficient and effective operational use of facilities and promoting a positive image of the site to all its users.

TfGM used the ESPO Non-Domestic Waste Collection framework (ref 379_21) as a compliant route to find a suitable supplier following a call-off competition.
