Understanding the role of the Resident Medical Officers in the independent healthcare sector

The aim of this research is to help the GMC better understand the doctors who are working as Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) in the independent healthcare sector in the UK and the degree of support they are currently provided with to undertake their role. The research will ultimately help us to determine whether they require additional support and guidance from the GMC to provide good clinical care.
