Description
The existing NHS- CIS Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) comprises a Level 0 Root Certificate Authority (CA), and two Level 1 CAs which provide the smartcard certificates for Authentication and Content Commitment. The following is a breakdown of the required support:- PTL all silver/low support, each environment contains three CAs, totalling 15 CAs for this support level. Live will remain at GOLD/high support, and contains 2 CAs In addition, the CIS team have HSM boxes that need support and Comparex can support the HSM boxes as part of this contract. PKI certificates are used by the CIS and these are perpetual licenses that support the wider NHS. The current contract (CON_2249) expires on 30/06/2020 and all extension provisions have been exhausted. A new contract will be required in order to process the renewal and we will be accessing the SBS Link IT framework in order to run a further competition.
