With The GDPR coming in to affect in the UK from 25 May 2018 Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are working towards ensuring their state of compliance.

Folllowing initial work by the Information Assurance Team the following areas have been identified for further work

• Enable the Information Assurance Team to have a fit for purpose Information Asset Register • Assist with putting procedures in place for administering data subjects rights • Ensure Privacy Risk Assessment Procedures in place and compliant with GDPR • Embed a process for mapping data flows • Complete gap analysis

Scope of initial services: • Complete information audit • Validate the information asset register • Complete GDPR gap analysis • Review Existing privacy by design procedures • Advise process improvements where necessary • Prepare GDPR implementation plan • Facilitiate GDPR implementation plan • Support the completion of data flow maps for each personal data set
