STREET PARISH COUNCIL

INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE REFURBISHMENT OF THE ENCLOSED PLAY AREA AT RINGOLDS WAY, STREET FOR 3-5 YEAR OLDS AND 6-12 YEAR OLDS

Specification The refurbished play area to have plenty of opportunity for children to maximise travelling, climbing, swinging and balancing and for the children to be as active as possible.

£82,400 Including equipment and surfacing.

Older Children's tower Toddler tower Zip wire or equivalent 1 x swing basket 2 x swings 2 x toddler swings Roundabout - To bridge the gap between ages Some kind of Seesaw - maximum number of children to use at one time. Small pieces of equipment to compliment the whole park. Safety Surfacing - to be added to most of the play area - Bonded mulch preferred - existing surfacing to be covered over. 3 seats 2 bins

Removal and disposal* of old play area equipment. (*Multi-unit once removed will be collected by Idverde Ltd to reuse at another site).

Provide a postal specification, quotation and a design depicted as A3 dimensional image for the supply and installation of the equipment and surfacing by 12:00 Noon on Monday 13th November, 2017 to The Clerk, Street Parish Council, 6 Leigh Road, Street, Somerset, BA16 0HA - Emailed quotations will not be considered.

Provide certification details for equipment and surfacing including guarantees and details of timescales for provision of the play area.

Companies must be ROSPA approved and have employer and public liability insurance of £5 million or above.

Provide security fencing and welfare unit for the site.

The Council is not obliged to accept the lowest or any quotation.

Prospective contractors are prohibited from contacting Councillors or staff to encourage or support their quotation outside the prescribed process in accordance with the terms of the Bribery Act 2010.

Any contract entered into for this work must contain suitable provisions stating that valid undisputed invoices will be paid within 30 days. Public contracts must also contain a condition requiring contractors to include similar provisions in their contracts, and so on down the supply chain.
