C16286 - Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC)

Description

This requirement is for the provision of Support, Maintenance and Hosting agreement to the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) system. The Environment Agency (EA) administered the statutory requirements of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme under "the 2013 Order" on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) through a bespoke IT system, namely the CRC Registry. The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (Revocation and Savings) Order 2018 revoked the 2013 Order to make the year ending in March 2019, the final reporting year with final payments of allowances in October 2019. The CRC regulations required backdated adjustments to be made up until 31st March 2022 after which the operation of the registry has been suspended and put into deep sleep mode, referred as the CRC Registry archive. The administrator (the EA) is required to maintain a record of the information contained in the CRC Registry from the 31 March 2022 in read only mode including the list of participants, until the end of March 2025.
