## Description

The Authority requires the appointed Supplier to provide specialist legal and contract \(NEC\) support\. The support shall be provided as necessary throughout the process to finalise and sign a GMP \(estimated to be in October 2021\) and throughout the works stage as may be necessary i\.e\. advising on any specific contract and/or compensation event matters that may arise\. It is expected that the Supplier shall provide the following Services and support which shall be considered to be a non-exhaustive scope of services required: 1\. liaise with members of the Authority's Programme Team as may be necessary; 2\. as may be necessary, attend Project and other related meetings; 3\. provide specialist legal advice and support in connection with the drafting and review of the Works Information; 4\. provide specialist legal advice and support to the drafting and finalisation of the GMP contract and any early works compensation events/agreements; 5\. review the final GMP contract and prepare an assurance report for the Trust Board; 6\. prepare briefing and advice notes for the Authority on legal and contract matters; and 7\. provide general specialist legal advice and support to the Authority in the resolution of contract matters i\.e\. to include compensation events, disputes, and interpretations of the NEC Contract\.
