Via Bolton Council's Framework: TC005 Framework for Highways Work Lot 4 - Bridges and Highway Structures Improvement and Maintenance Works up to £2.0m The proposed works will clean and repaint the entire Jackson's Boat Footbridge's metalwork to renew the corrosions protection. The existing timber deck boards have only recently been replaced; the footbridge timberwork to be taken down and reinstated after the footbridge repainting works. The footbridge spans over a main river and the footbridge repaint work will require full encapsulation to prevent paint and construction debris entering the watercourse beneath. The works are to include for working longer days and Saturdays as per S 270.
