Description
A mobile Cardiac MRI unit is proposed for relocation from the Royal Brompton Hospital in London to Kettering General Hospital to supplement its cardiac facilities. The unit comes as a complete, self-contained unit or pod, consisting of an MRI unit, including MRI examination, tech and control rooms, as well as a reception space, waiting area, changing room and WC facilities. Additionally, the unit comes with dedicated plantrooms and service cupboards which contain various items of MEP plant and equipment. A new, covered linking corridor is to be constructed as part of the project to provide access for patient's and staff. The extent of the works shall comprise all services and connections required as detailed in Specification (Building, Electrical, Mechanical etc) Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
