Description

The room (and both staircases leading to it) require new flooring, damp repairs, repointing, brass polishing, underfloor electrical installations, new wall wooden panelling, some ceiling cornice gold-leaf gilding and redecoration. Further details are given within the Tender documents attached. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. All buildings within the Royal Museums Greenwich portfolio are of historical interest and Listed. Flamsteed House, with the Octagon Room, is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Therefore any contractor working on these buildings must have significant direct experience in this field.
