Rooftop PV Project

Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) have secured funding for commission of a solar PV panel installation scheme. Following assessment of 16No. potential buildings across campus, a total of 7No buildings have been prioritised for suitable adaptation.

The scheme will seek to facilitate carbon reduction, delivering improvements to site energy performance. As part of this scheme, the University aims to:  Significantly reduce carbon emissions in line with their net zero by 2038 target;  Deliver innovative alternatives to current energy provision;  Reduce energy consumption;  Achieve energy cost savings.
