Work description

Nearly one third of the UK workforce are aged 50 or over, more than 10 million workers. But not all employers offer what's needed to retain an older workforce or recognise the benefits of doing so.

Over the past few years, the Centre for Ageing Better has been developing evidence and practice relating to age-friendly employment. Our aim is to work in partnership with employers and recruiters to create workplaces and working environments that support people of all ages.

Over the next few years, we want to further develop our engagement with employers, with the ultimate aim of:

Increasing employer awareness of imperative to support age-friendly workplaces Increasing employer capability and know-how of how to be age-friendly Increasing employer motivation about the benefits of being age-friendly

This ITT is the first stage in this process. We are looking to commission research to look at employer awareness and understanding of age-friendly employment practice and explore their potential capacity, capability and commitment to implementing it.

Deadline for tender submissions is Wednesday 11 November at 4pm.
