Cultural Citizens Programme Evaluation

The Cultural Citizens Programme was included in the Culture White Paper as an effort to ensure that every child has culture as part of their education both in and out of school. The programme targets disadvantaged communities where fewer people currently visit museums, galleries or the theatre. It will be initially piloted in three areas and, if successful aims to be rolled out to thousands of young people across the country.

Arts Council England has been tasked by the Department of Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) to deliver the Cultural Citizens Programme Pilot. The programme has now launched and the delivery partners are in the process of identifying the participants.

Arts Council England is seeking a service provider to deliver an evaluation of the Programme.The evaluation needs to assess whether the programme has been successful in its aims and whether a future expansion of the programme would be a worthwhile endeavour.

The provider will need to quickly engage with the delivery partners and come to an understanding of how the evaluation programme will fit around each pilot as they are delivered over the 2016-17 school year.
