Business Glossary and Data Catalogue

Description

DWP is seeking to future proof it's architecture and capability through the deployment of a Business Glossary and Data Catalogue. This will allow the department to make better use its data, its lineage and identify opportunities for efficiencies and risk reduction. Governance processes around technology selection and design have already been carried out and the next step is to complete deployment of the infrastructure, tooling (Axon & EDC) and on-board the business. The initiative will deliver iteratively, evolving over time - however the initial focus is on laying down foundational framework working with the Dataworks area to identify a 'Golden Thread'. During this exercise, DWP will understand how the framework can be extended beyond the bounds of Dataworks providing value to other areas of DWP as they are on-boarded.
