Duchess of Kent Parapet Works

The works to be carried out on The Duchess of Kent Bridge consist of painting/removal of both parapets, painting a single underside girder flange and vegetation clearance of branches overhanging on the parapet.

Paint Works TYPE I (M) Substrate Type - Steel Surface Preparation - ST3 HA approved paint • Item 115 @ min. 100 microns (HA Approved) 1st coat • Item 116 @ min. 150 microns (HA Approved) 2nd coat • Item 168 @ min. 50 microns (HA Approved) 3rd coat Minimum total dry film thickness - 300 microns

Top coat paint colour Parapet - 00 A 13 - Storm grey Girder - 00 E 53 - Black

Estimated parapet paint area - 275 m² Estimated girder paint area - 5 m² -The Contractor is responsible for working out the actual paint area required.
