## Description

The Space Technology Applications From Research \(STAR\) project at the University of Leicester requires a 5 Axis Vertical Machining Centre, suitable for the manufacture of precision components made from various grades of Stainless Steels/Steels, Aluminium Alloys, Brass, Copper Molybdenum and other materials, using high speeds and feeds\. The machine is to support a wide range of research groups and projects to produce components of high accuracy for space flight and other areas of engineering based research\. The contract is part funded by a European Regional Development Fund \(ERDF\) grant award\.
