## Description

Provision of an Engineering Performance Assessment \(EPA\) as a component of the next ESC to address the performance of the engineered barriers and other important components of the design\. An EPA is considered to be an assessment of the performance of the Engineered Barrier System \(EBS\) and in particular would quantify the evolution of the properties of those barriers during the Period of Authorisation \(PoA\) and subsequent periods\.
