Work description
This work will deliver a series of trials of different and effective ways to collect waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and recover critical raw materials from it. The recovery trials will also include recovery of gold, silver and PGMs in WEEE.
The trials will be delivered in four countries: UK, Germany, Italy and Turkey.
A maximum of ten trials is envisaged across the four countries. The number of trials in each country and the value of each of the contracts will depend on the tenders received. The total project budget for all of the trials is indicated below.
It is expected that around 100 tonnes of WEEE will be collected in total across all of the trials.
This project is being delivered through the EU Life 2014 programme.
