## Description

This is a contract variation to the original award letter dated 23 March 2021\. The contract variation is required to identify further cost saving opportunities for the TransPennine Route Upgrade Programme\. As a result of the change it is necessary to amend the contract value\. The contract value has been extended by an additional £250,000 excluding VAT\. The approved increase brings the maximum cost of the contract to £750,000 excluding VAT\. This amount includes the original award value of £500,000\.
